TransfuSure

Hemapta by TransfuSure is a standalone, camera-based application designed to prevent fatal errors during bedside blood transfusions. Each year, over 4 million transfusions occur in Germany, and the leading cause of death related to transfusions is human error. Especially the mix-up of blood products by medical doctors at the patient’s bedside.Despite existing protocols and safety measures, most hospitals still rely on paper-based systems. Hemapta aims to provide a simple yet robust IT solution to this life-threatening problem.
