An studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. During that time, he spent a year at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden and did a Master program in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, US. The time abroad shifted his interest from Electrical Energy Engineering towards research in Biomedical Engineering and Healthcare by applying methods from control theory, signal processing and machine learning.

After his master thesis in the field of inertial sensor-based gait analysis for Parkinson´s disease at the MaD lab, he now joined the team as a PhD student in a joint project with Siemens Healthineers. The project deals with the application of novel machine learning methods (especially deep learning) for predictive analytics.
