Dr.-Ing. Felix Kluge
I currently lead the “Digital Health – Gait Analytics” group.
My research motivation is the improvement of patients’ quality of life by using new digital technologies to early diagnose diseases, predict interventional outcomes and model disease progression. Hereby I aim to develop wearable technology to assess health using long-term home monitoring systems in the real world. Potential symptoms include, but are not limited to, movement disorders. To allow secure and safe data handling, appropriate data and analysis infrastructures need to be researched upon which allow researchers and clinicians to analyze the obtained multimodal data. The application of artificial intelligence, such as machine learning methods which learn from the obtained data, will allow to mine this real world data for potential symptom patterns for improved diagnostics. The overall goal is the development and validation of new mobile digital outcomes that can complement current clinical diagnostics.
