Our New MaD Woman – Madeleine Flaucher
Madeleine joined the MaD-Team in April 2021 as a Ph.D. candidate. After completing her Bachelor’s studies in Biomedical Engineering at the technical university in Regensburg she decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to Erlangen for her master’s degree in Medical Engineering at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. During that time, she discovered her interest in digital healthcare, mHealth, and mobile app development. Within her master’s thesis, she developed an application for the automated evaluation of urine dipsticks aiming to facilitate prenatal care and enhancing its efficiency.
Madeleine will be mainly working on the DigiOnko project, which focuses on the development of an integrative concept for precision medicine to improve prevention, therapy, and prehabilitation of breast cancer patients.
