Background

Breast cancer is a significantly effects the health and quality of life (QoL) of patients. Meditation, MBSR and Breathing Exercises have shown to improve the QoL of patients.

We are currently implementing a mobile application in combination with a hardware prototype of a flower to perform breathing exercises and other stress-relieving exercises. Our aim is to connect the flower with a wearable device, in oder to initiate an exercise based on physiological measurements.

Tasks

  • Implementation of a mobile application based on an existing prototype
  • Literature research on MBSR, breathing exercises, meditation techniques, physiological stress responses and user requirements
  • Implement the connectivity of wearable activity tracking into the application (Connectivity, data visualization)

Requirements

  • Strong interest and knowledge in mobile app development (Ionic, NodeJS, SQL)
  • Good sense of design (if possible, please send some samples of your interface designs with your application)
  • Good German skills (the app is in German)
