Our New MaD Woman – Ann-Kristin Seifer

Ann-Kristin is a masters graduate from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Erlangen Germany where she obtained her degree in Medical Engineering with a focus on pattern recognition and machine learning. Ann-Kristin chose her field of study due to her great interest in the human auditory system and hearing aids. In addition to her studies, Ann-Kristin carried out research as a working student at WS Audiology, a hearing aid manufacturer, for over two years. In her master thesis, Ann-Kristin developed a machine learning approach for the initial fitting of hearing aids based on audiometric and further subject-related data. Ann-Kristin joined the MaD Team in October as a Ph.D. candidate. Together with the collaboration partner WS Audiology, she will be working on motion analysis based on motion sensors integrated into hearing aids.
