Our New MaD-Man – Nicolae Cadin

Nicolae studied Physics Engineering at the Ankara University. Afterwards, he continued with masters at FAU in advanced optical technologies, where he majored in computational optics and optics in medicine. His master thesis was focused on the application of deep learning techniques for the classification of soft tissue using Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS) data. This formed his interest in machine learning.

In collaboration with Siemens, he will conduct research in the automotive sector. The scope of the project consists of finding and applying the newest machine learning techniques as well as developing own methods for predictive maintenance.
